Our Services

Accounts Preparation

From your books and records we will prepare your annual accounts (or year end accounts) whether you operate as a Sole Trader, Partnership or through a Limited Company. They will also be invaluable for providing information about your business to financial institutions for example for mortgage applications. As part of this service we routinely advise you on ways to strengthen your record keeping that will assist you in meeting your statutory obligations with regards to VAT and your annual Tax Returns.

Tax Returns

HM Revenue and Customs (formerly the Inland Revenue) routinely issue a tax return to taxpayers whom they believe are receiving income:

• from self-employment
• from the rental of property
• where tax has not already been deducted

or who have complex tax affairs such as company directors or higher rate taxpayers.

We use HMRC approved software and our own in-house expertise to:

• prepare calculations of your tax liability
• complete your tax return and file it by the required date
• advise you on the amounts of Tax and National Insurance to be paid and when you need to pay them
• at your request we can analyze your tax affairs and advise you of any tax savings you may make

Corporation Tax

We use HMRC approved software and our own in-house expertise to:

• prepare calculations of the company tax liability
• complete the company tax return and file it by the required date
• advise your company of Tax to be paid and when it needs to be paid

Company Formation

At Janice Cope we are able to check to see if the company name you require is available and form this company on your behalf. We are also able to help you manage your responsibilities and advise you of your requirements throughout the year.

Book Keeping and VAT

All businesses are required to keep accurate records for both taxation and VAT (Value Added Tax) purposes, the records also provide valuable information for managing your business. Most of our clients maintain their own records but we are pleased to advise you and/or train your staff, and we take particular care to set up a suitable system for all new businesses.

We are also able to provide a full bookkeeping service.

Payroll

We use our expertise to advise you on all aspects of preparing payroll and to ensure compliance with legislation. We can also offer a complete payroll service to allow you to outsource this sometimes complex and time consuming task.
